Bubble Tea & Happy New Year
Dec. 31st, 2007 07:33 pmFinally, I've found a recipe for bubble tea that I can actually manage. Of course, the translation on the label of the tapioca balls has lost something in the translation. As follows:
1. Use medium high heat to boil water (water quantity is about six times of Balls).
2. After water boiling up, put balls in, stir and cover pot to cook 30 minutes.
3. Cease fire, stay as it is for about 20 minutes.
4. Drain off hot water. Rinse cold water, stir. Scoop up cooled balls, mix a little sugar to serve with drinks.
I'm not exactly sure how to cease fire in regard to cooking. Also I'm not quite sure how to rinse cold water. Seems rather redundant. But then, it's just a translation and we can figure it out, right? The idea behind the tea is to stay awake until the clock switches over to 2008.
