Trashy idiots
Nov. 15th, 2007 01:04 pmRealizing of course that teachers aren't supposed to think of students as idiots, or at least not openly call them that, I feel the urge to comment on the behavior of certain darling nincompoops who can't get the message that the hall is not their personal trash can.
Today, at the beginning of lunch, I went out into the hall with our aged digital camera and took their pictures as they sat at the nice new picnic table on the third floor. They posed nicely for me, dumping their trash and having a great time laughing it up. I'm hoping they'll realize that, now their behavior is recorded for posterity, or at least their administrators. If the table is trashed, we'll know who did it. If the table has graffiti on it, we'll know the crowd.
Oh well, if these trashy students are the greatest of my concerns, I guess I'm doing okay.
