... I won't get it from Zales. A friend who used to work for that blasted company has been in litigation with them for 8 years over something that wasn't my friend's fault. The upshot of the situation is that somebody lied about my friend, was believed, and then went about the business of driving my friend out of his/her job without explanation other than the statement "You know what you did." Even in the mediation process, the mediator couldn't get them to cough up an explanation.

My friend had been with Zales for more that 20 years, was a triple zero manager when it came to inventory, and has received numerous awards and commendations. If being driven to the brink of neurosis is the price of being a Zales employee, then maybe Zales should go out of business. Frankly, diamonds aren't worth that much.
