Finishing Harry Potter

Have finally read all the Harry Potter books. Interesting. I've heard lots of pro and con about JK Rowling's series and must admit it's kind of a relief to have finished the whole lot of them for myself. Rowling put an incredible amount of work into this story.

Seems to me to be in the same vein as LotR and Narnia - alternate realities where the battle between good and evil is fought in a manner much differently than what is considered acceptable in the Real World. Brings to mind a statement made by Aragorn in The Two Towers - "Good and Ill have not changed since yesteryear; nor are they one thing among Elves and Dwarves and another among Men."

Not sure I'll be reading it again, but I'm glad I at least read it once.

I suggest reading the seven novels that make up the opus work of Stephen King; THE DARK TOWER.
Now to truly enjoy The Dark Tower there are other novels to read first or within the opus itself.
This list took me about six months to read. I am now on Wolves Of The Calla for my third time around with Roland.
Stephen says he is going to write an eighth book that fits into the opus between books 3, 4, or 5...he is not sure just yet.

But seriously, thanks for the list. Right now, I have so many books that I started to read and had to put down, and only have time during the summer to read anyway, this will have to join my reading list for next summer. Except Salem's Lot, though. Read that years ago. My favorite vampire tale.

so many books so little time. I am so thankful my parents and teachers promoted reading from early on.
