Once again, introduced by exceptional ditziness, light headedness and more stress than usual thanks to student behavior, NCLB and the general runaround, the brain has rebelled. Looks like I've had the 3rd ocular migraine since that car wreck in April. Rather disturbing experience. Happened once while driving to work. That was even more disturbing. My doctor says not to panic about them unless they become more frequent, like say twice a week. Once in 3 or 4 months is quite frequent enough for me, thank you. Trying to figure out what it is that I'm doing that triggers it, but the only consistent thing is watching late night TV, 2 out of 3 occurrences. Oh well...

According to my dr.

An ocular migraine starts out with expanded blood vessels in the brain and includes flashing or flickering lights in one or both eyes. The full blown migraine has both expanding and then constricting blood vessels. Not sure if the light show is included. The main difference is that the blood vessels don't suddenly constrict in an ocular migraine. Frankly, I'd rather have neither.

Looks like I'm gonna have to cut back on the late night TV. Seems to make it worse.
